meet Fahad
I bring a combination of real-world leadership and local experience that directly applies to the challenges facing District 6.
Professionally, I’ve spent over 15 years at Microsoft and later worked at Google, leading strategy and operations for large organizations, including Fortune 500 companies. My work focused on solving complex problems, improving systems, and helping organizations operate more effectively at scale.
I have also worked alongside public sector teams, supporting initiatives that required coordination, accountability, and results in high-pressure environments.
My municipal leadership has been grounded in the day-to-day realities of the community.
As President of the Valley Ranch Master Association, I’ve focused on the issues residents consistently raise: maintenance, communication, neighborhood standards, and making sure concerns are addressed with real follow-through.
I have also served on the Irving Planning and Zoning Commission, where I worked to ensure growth decisions consider traffic, infrastructure, and the long-term impact on neighborhoods and property values.
Today, I’m running for City Council with a clear focus:
Safer neighborhoods.
Disciplined growth.
A city that responds—and follows through.
Protecting learning, access, and community spaces for every family
Supports Public Libraries
Public libraries play a vital role in our community. They are safe, trusted spaces where children learn, families connect, and individuals of all ages have access to knowledge, resources, and opportunity. Fahad Ahmed believes our libraries should be protected and strengthened, not pulled into unnecessary political conflict.
He supports empowering parents to guide what their children are exposed to, recognizing that every family has different standards and expectations. At the same time, there should be clear and thoughtful organization of materials, with adult content appropriately placed in adult sections where it is accessible to adults.
Fahad also believes in upholding the First Amendment and respecting the expertise of professional librarians who are trained to serve diverse communities. Their role is essential in maintaining balanced, inclusive, and educational environments.
Our libraries should remain places of learning, discovery, and unity. That means listening to community voices, maintaining transparency, and avoiding extreme approaches that lead to division or unnecessary censorship. Fahad is committed to protecting our libraries as welcoming spaces that reflect the values of the entire Irving community.
Priorities
Six Priorities. One Direction.
District 6 doesn’t need politics. It needs clear priorities, strong decisions, and leadership that delivers results.
Fix Our Roads
Fix the roads and intersections families use daily—targeting the worst problem areas first and delivering visible improvements faster.
Sustainable growth
Raise the standard for development in Irving—protect neighborhoods, avoid over-concentration, and hold developers accountable for quality, safety, and long-term value.
Safer Neighborhoods
Strengthen police presence where needed most, expand proven tools, and improve response times so residents feel safer in their neighborhoods
Infrastructure That Keeps Up.
Fix drainage, sidewalks, and public spaces so neighborhoods stay safe, reduce flooding risks, and keep up with Irving’s growth.
Residents First. Not Bureaucracy.
Put residents at the center of decisions—not process—through clear communication, real accountability, and follow-through.
Invest in the Next Generation.
Support programs that build confidence, discipline, and leadership—giving families real opportunities for their children to grow and succeed.
